Kids
We're kids, spoiled teens, not yet adults but kids. And there's nothing wrong about it, none at all! Ignore the fact that we're not allowed to drive without being babysat or say to the Gamestop clerk, I want that one- then point to the one that has an 'M' on the bottom or maybe get a job so mom and dad won't wonder what happened to the green pieces of paper. But aside from all that, there's nothing wrong when you cry from getting hit or say something that makes no sense, not to be active when the teachers's watching. Its what we're considered that makes it seem wrong, we're not important, at least not now and that maybe true. However, the ones who are in denial simply say, we're adults, we're special, we know how the real world works. Do you? These words come to my mind. Girls may wear make-up, know which skirt is in style, study afterschool but no that's not how it works. Guys may wear the pants, the shirts, know the lines but that that's not how it works either. Until you figure this out we're just kids, spoiled teens not yet adults but kids. And there's nothing wrong about it.

I love the style of this piece, Rocio! It's nice to read something where a student really lets herself go like Sandra Cisneros does in her vignettes... I hope it was therapeutic! I think you're right, too-- sometimes we expect you to grow up too fast and I'm glad you're resisting, because enjoying your youth to its fullest is important. I still don't want to grow up myself! :)
I think it would be cool to frame this as sort of a Declaration of Teenagers' Rights, looking at our US Declaration of Independence as a bit of a guide (a few phrases like "We the teenagers" or something?). What are things you WANT to do that you could add alongside the things you feel like you don't want to do that adults expect?

HEY ROCIO,I REALLY LIKED WHAT YOU WORET. IT IS NICE AND IT TRUE. Iris catalan
I like your story!=D I like how it relates to many teenagers these days. I think parents need to realize that being young involves many immature decisions, but then being able to understand the consequences. They do expect you to grow up fast but sometimes you cant just resist but feel young forever.
Great Job

Hey well i hink this is a great story about how guy scan be all spoield and do wat they want most likely like weare watever they like and how us as girls dont really have that privalege to choose.
Maybe you should add more things that pearents might prohibit from girls that they might not from guys. For example going out with some friends, or daiting someone.
