My Name by Veronica Antunez

In the baby name books my name means "true image". In English it means just plain Veronica, but in Spanish though it means...me. I never really like the way people say my name in English just because I never really hear my name in Spanish. In Spanish my name sounds unique. The cool thing about having a name that can be said in both languages is that the teachers or new people that i meet know how to say it. Unlike some names that can only be said in Spanish like Esperanza, Laura, or Jorge. I've always asked my mom on how i got my name and she always answers the same, "because i thought it was a beautiful name for a beautiful girl."<-i know, how embarrassing, but my mom always tries her best to put bread on the table so i never really question my name anymore. Originally my name would have been Leticia Veronica Antunez instead of Veronica Leticia Antunez because my dad liked Leticia better, but my mom thought it was better to have Veronica before Leticia. I never really care on how or who i got my name from, but one thing i know for sure is that i will always be Veronica.
