Life is hard for someone that is shorter than the average person. for me, this is what happens. i go to school like any other kid but there is one problem, i am not exactly what you call average height for my age 15. I don't even pass 5 foot!!!! OMG! sometimes i wish i was taller because then i could do other stuff that shorter people can't do. for example, i joined the football team at my school ad when we are tackling i feel like im an ant going up against a bull! and the next thing i know is im face down into the ground because i just got runned over by the fullback! well although i would like to be taller, I like being short. i bet your wondering why!? i do to lol there is a bad side to being short, people call me bad names and make fun of me and other stuff too. but after awhile i get used to the name calling so i don't mind being short. and yea well thats about it in the end its better being short!

i thought ur story was pretty cool and u used ex. of ur life to show how u felt about being short but u need to work on ur spell check. and yes it does suck to be short.

Hi Raymond,
I think this is a great idea for a journal response, because I think we all have things about our physical appearance that we don't like. It can be so healing to vent about our "blemishes" and the way people react to them. I would like to hear about some of the specific things that being short prevents you from doing: Do you still have trouble at theme parts? Probably not, I'm thinking, but did you have to wait longer than most kids your age to be able to go on rides with height limitations? What other things make life difficult? Joining the basketball team? Dating tall girls? :) What are some possible advantages that you comfort yourself with? Give me more details!! And yeah... this English teacher seconds Veronica's suggestion about the spell check, sir! ;)
